得意なこと / My special skill

僕は絵描きなので、絵を描くことを得意と言っていいかどうかわかりません。

そこで今日は、絵を描くことではなく、別のことで自分の得意なことを話そうと思います。

僕の作品を見てくれる人は、きっとお部屋も綺麗なんでしょうねと仰る。

ところが、それがまるっきり逆です。

机の上は画集やプリントが山積みですし、床にはモチーフが散乱しています。

展覧会が終われば、持ち帰った作品はとりあえずその辺に置きっぱなし・・・。

そうです、僕の最も得意なことは、部屋を散らかすことなのです(笑)。

最近、これにますます磨きがかかり、ヤバいのです。

誰も人を呼べない。

片付けることも得意にならなければと思う今日この頃です。

My special skill

I don't know if I’m allowed to say “I’m good at painting” because I'm a painter.

So, I would like to talk about another thing today.

People who see my paintings say that my room must be clean.

However, that‘s exactly the opposite.

Art books and prints are piled up on the desk, and motifs are scattered on the floor.

When the exhibition is over, paintings I brought back are left somewhere around there for now.

As you probably have noticed by now, my special skill is cluttering the room hahaha.

These days, it's getting more and more brushed up and that’s not good.

I can’t invite anybody.

Lately I think I should be good at cleaning up.
